Festival Cinéma et Droits Humains - Call for entries 2016
The call for entries for the 7th edition of the Festival Cinéma et Droits Humains (Film and Human Rights Festival) is now open!
After six successful editions, Amnesty International Paris launches the 7th edition of the Festival Cinéma et Droits Humains in 2016. This festival aims at shedding the light on the representation of human rights in cinema, and its short-film competition reflects these goals.
Here are the few requirements to submit your film:
*Films must have a distinctive human rights theme
*Maximum running time: 20 minutes
*Films completed after: 01 January 2012
*All genres are accepted (fiction, documentary, animation, experimental, etc.)
*Films will be received in their original language. French or English subtitles are required if its language is other than French.
*Registration is free of charge
*We recommend that you send an online version of your film, but DVDs are also accepted.
Deadline: 15th of August 2016 (23h59 UTC-12)

The selected films will be screened publicly at the Festival Cinéma et Droits Humains in November 2016 in a cinema hall in Paris.
All of the selected films will compete for four prizes of the Festival cinéma et Droits Humains. The Grand Prize and Special Prize for Human Rights, awarded by an independent jury composed of personalities from the world of cinema and experts of human rights, the Audience Award and the Bloggers Award.
