Jorge Yglesias is a poet, writer, literary translator and film critic. Head of the Chair of Humanities and Professor of Film History and Aesthetics of Documentary in the International School of Cinema and TV (EICTV) of San Antonio de los Baños, Cuba.
Author of Campos de Elogio, Coloniales, and Cenizas de Hakoldama (poetry), Un extraño en el Paraíso, Buñuel el americano and Atravesar el espejo (film criticism).
Director and scriptwriter of a weekly broadcast on cinema (Cine Paraíso), and a daily program on Classical Music.
Readings, lectures and courses in cultural centers and institutions of Paris, Lille, Marseille, Arles, Norwich, Cambridge, Berlin, Viena, Montreal, Toronto, Caracas, Valencia (Venezuela), Bogotá, Cartagena and Santiago de los Caballeros.
