International Journal Stereo & Immersive Media: New issue just published
The editorial board of the International Journal on Stereo & Immersive Media is pleased to announce that its 2021 issue has just been published. The new issue includes invited papers by two renowned media historians, Tom Gunning, from The University of Chicago, and Elizabeth Edwards, from De Montfort University, with insightful and stimulating reflections on 3D realism and immersive photographic histories.
Showing on its cover one of the first Brazilian stereoviews by the German-born photographer Revert Henry Klumb, this issue also contains six peer-reviewed papers by Susan Gamble, Helena Gouveia Monteiro, Seth Thompson, Maria Isabela Mendonça dos Santos, Joan Carles Oliver and Maria-Josep Mulet Gutiérrez, and Leen Engelen, covering understudied or overlooked aspects of the immersive visual culture across the globe.
We hope this issue will contribute to a fresh and inspiring start in the New Year!
