Conference panel proposal Branded Content Research Network
1) The first call is for the 2017 NECS conference (Paris, 29 June-1 July), and you can read it here: https://necs.org/conference/ The European Network for Cinema and Media Studies (NECS) is a platform for academics and practitioners, variously involved in media research and practice. The conference is quite big, and pre-constituted panels are recommended, so we would like to propose a panel of 4 speakers in representation of the Branded Content Research Network.
All topics that may fit the conference's general theme are welcome.
Here are just few examples:
- Body as a promotional medium
- Commercial practices by celebrity endorsers, influencers, vloggers, etc.
- Branded content and virtual/augmented reality
- Branded content and geolocalization
- Branded content and the use of affects and emotions
- etc. etc.
The deadline for submission is January 31. If some of you are interested in participating in the panel, please drop us a message (gloria.dagnino@usi.ch<mailto:gloria.dagnino@usi.ch> ; stephanie.janes@rhul.ac.uk<mailto:stephanie.janes@rhul.ac.uk> ) by mid January, so that we can work on a consistent proposal.
2) The second conference is the 3rd International Conference & Exhibition on Semiotics and Visual Communication, which will focus on branding: http://icsvc-conference.com/ In this case the deadline for submissions is March 31, and the conference will be held in Cyprus from 3 to 5 November 2017. Again, let us know if some of you are interested in submitting a joint panel.
