REMINDER - COUCHSURFING Berlinale 2016 - DEADLINE November 30th 2015

COUCHSURFING THE BERLINALE goes round 6!

This program was created 2010 by students from the academy, with the aim of connecting filmmakers at an early stage of their career to inspire one another and hopefully cooperate on projects in the future.

The idea is very simple:

We invite 25 students from film schools all over the world to come stay with students from the DFFB during the BERLINALE. 

The students from the dffb who take part in the program will each host a student in their house for at least 6 nights and attend all events of the program.

To apply they just need to be a student at a film school, write us at couchsurfing@dffb.de - Application deadline: November 30th 2015

Why they would like to come and what they hope to find during their stay and be in Berlin from Thursday the 11th in the afternoon to at least Tuesday the 16th of February 2016

With the generous support of the BERLINALE we are able to provide free student accreditations for all the 25 guests and 25 hosts of the COUCHSURFING THE BERLINALE.

On the second day of the festival we traditionally hold a welcoming dinner at our school for all the participants where we get to know each other and present some selected work from the DFFB.

During the festival, the students are free to explore the event and watch films as much as they want. 

We created a Facebook group where we post news and information about the festival (program announcements, parties etc…)

On the fifth day of the festival we try to gather all the students again to have a last get together before they leave and get some feedback on their experience.

In the past years the program proved to be very successful, each year we have students from more than 20 countries attending the festival through COUCHSURFING THE BERLINALE. A lot of friendships and professional relationships have developed and the program has established itself as a tradition of DFFB.
