Encounters Film Festival Call for Entries Open
The Call for Entries is now open for the 23rd Encounters Short Film & Animation Festival in Bristol, UK, taking place from 19 – 24 September 2017.

Encounters Festival discovers, supports and develops new talent in filmmaking, providing a platform for emerging and established filmmakers from around the world. Alongside offering prestigious awards and up to £10,000 in cash prizes, the Festival is also a gateway to the Oscars®, the BAFTAs, the European Film Awards and the Cartoon D’Or.
The Festival creates a unique environment and meeting place with screenings, industry events and networking opportunities.
Films completed from 1 Jan 2016, less than 30 minutes in length from every genre are eligible for this year’s competitive programmes.
The deadlines are:
Friday 31st March 2017 – Early bird submission deadline with reduced fee (£20)
Tuesday 23rd May 2017 – Regular submission deadline (£25)
