É um prémio que que visa recompensar as atividades de pessoas, grupos, organizações ou centros especializados que promovem a educação das raparigas e das mulheres, em conformidade com as políticas e os objetivos da UNESCO neste domínio.

Financiado pelo Governo da República Popular da China, o prémio, atribuído anualmente, consiste num diploma e num montante de US$ 50 000 entregues a cada um de dois laureados.

On behalf of the Academy of Film, School of Communication of Hong Kong Baptist University, it is our great honour to invite you to participate in our forthcoming Festival, the 1st Global University Students Film Festival (GUSFF), which will be held from 7th November to 9th November, 2018.

What is GUSFF?

GUSFF is formerly known as the Global Chinese Universities Student Film and Television Festival (GCU), which was initiated by the Academy of Film, School of Communication of Hong Kong Baptist University in 2002. The GCU is considered as the flagship event of its kind and is positioned as one of the most successful gateways in building a collaborative relationship among the professionals, scholars and students in Hong Kong and those in the Greater China region.

To ride on its success, this year, GCU refreshes its brand with a global focus as a continuation and expansion of the successful initiative to support university student film projects. GUSFF will launch its first instalment with the supports from distinguished members of the industry, including Oscar and Emmy award-winning masters, who will form the jury panel and speaker at the Master Class.

Call for entries special competitions 2018

Two special competitions are part of FILMSCHOOLFEST MUNICH and you are invited to participate:

The special competition for the HOFBRÄU TROPHY is sponsored by the brewery Staatliches Hofbräuhaus in München. We are looking for the most original commercial on the topic "Hofbräu - a different point of view". Simply be creative! Submit your film and get the trophy (in the best case)!

The second special competition is the CLIMATE CLIPS Award. Clips for this competition can be documentaries, fiction, comedies or dramas - all forms of artistic expression are allowed. They just have to be one thing - convincing! The prize is sponsored by the Nagelschneider Foundation for Renewable Energy.

Both special competitions offer prize money for the best three clips: 

1. Prize: 5.000 Euros 

2. Prize: 3.000 Euros 

3. Prize: 1.000 Euros

The directors of the three best films of each special competition will be invited to participate in FILMSCHOOLFEST MUNICH. More information can be found here.

Essa inusitada iniciativa bem humorada dos dois continentes acontece na Cidade das Artes, no Rio de Janeiro, de 17 a 20 de maio; na Unibes Cultural, em São Paulo, dias 18 e 19 de maio; e no Cine Teatro Sâo Jorge, em Lisboa, dias 22 e 23 de Maio!

Independent Film Centre “Filmart” would like to invite you to apply for 13th International Student Film Camp “Interaction 2018” and 8th International Documentary Masterclass “Interdoc 2018”. ​

13th INTERNATIONAL STUDENT FILM CAMP “INTERACTION 2018”

Pozega (Serbia), 11th - 28th August, 2018

What is Interaction? For the past 12 years “Interaction“ has gathered students of film schools from all over the world who, during their three-week stay in the western part of Serbia, shoot documentary films. During this year’s camp, 15 participants divided into three crews will shoot three documentary films on a given topic.

Who can apply? Your application will be taken into consideration if you study ­film production, directing, cinematography, sound design or editing, have taken part in production of a documentary film, speak English fluently.

And more … During a 12-year camp realization, there were 219 participants from 53 countries from 93 film schools. Also, 44 documentaries were shot, 10 of which were awarded with 15 different awards all over the world.

8th INTERNATIONAL DOCUMENTARY MASTERCLASS “INTERDOC 2018“

Pozega (Serbia), 18th - 28th August, 2018

What is Interdoc? This is a unique opportunity for everyone wanting to develop their skills in documentary – scriptwriting and directing in creative documentary. This 10-day intensive workshop takes place in Pozega (Serbia) every summer in August, along with the second stage of the “Interaction“ camp. The Masterclass will be led by eminent documentary directors Dragan Elcic (Serbia) and Mladen Maticevic (Serbia). The participants will have the chance to share the experience with the participants of the “Interaction“ camp through mutual accompanying activities.

Who can apply? Students of ­film schools, fi­lm and TV professionals, as well as anyone who would like to know more about creative documentary film.

And more … During the 7-year masterclass realization, there were 97 participants from 36 countries.
